Dominion front entrance near completeDominion Transmission dedicated their new West Virginia headquarters at White Oaks Business Park in Bridgeport, Wednesday, Oct.21.  The state of the art” facility as described by Dominion officials, was designed by Thrasher, Inc. and architect Philip Freeman.  March-Westin were the contractors for the facility.
Dominion, whose roots in Harrison County go back to 1898, said the new 106,000-square-foot facility will help the company’s business grow, according to their Vice President Brian Sheppard.   “Truly, this building is going to carry Dominion into the future,” he said.
The facility is the first privately owned structure in West Virginia to achieve LEED certification.  The building’s other amenities include a conference center, free parking, an exercise room with showers, lunch room and outdoor patio.
Thrasher, Inc., along with March-Westin and Allegheny Design were honored by the Associated Builders and Contractors -ABC- for the “Excellence in Construction” Award for the Dominion building at White Oaks.
